LED architectural products

The result is quite astonishing."Petra Hulst, lighting designer at Philips Lighting, adds: "The LED lighting has been specially designed to be in keeping with the hotel's calm inner courtyard, in the very heart of the busy city center. The led flood light challenge was to link the inner courtyard with the hotel's entrance gate. The warm-white colored LED lighting has been installed in the ground in a specially designed lightline, which runs from the entrance gate to the facade. This creates a 'carpet of calm' for visitors.

The warm light that is projected up from the ground onto the facade makes the historic building look radiant.YAHAM Lighting announces a call for entries for its 30th annual yaham lighting， Edison Award competition, recognizing excellence and quality in professional lighting designs that employ the significant use of GE lighting products, including, but not limited to these GE Lighting Products: GE LED systems, LED luminaires, LED architectural products, LED lamps and modules, lighting controls, and non-LED lamps and luminaires.A Web-based entry submittal process has been developed to replace the former hard-copy process. Online entries must be received by 5:00 p.m. Eastern time on January 7, 2013. To submit a project, applicants should go to the GE Edison Award website for full details.


The competition is open to professional designers, architects, engineers and consultants for projects completed during the 2012 calendar year. Online entries are judged on the following criteria: functional excellence; architectural compatibility; effective use of led high bay light products and techniques; appropriate color, form and texture revelation; energy efficiency and cost effectiveness.Projects scoring the highest number of points will qualify to receive either Awards of Merit or Awards of Excellence. The GE Edison Award Winner is selected from among the Awards of Excellence.
