The sessions of the second day of LEDforum Taipei 2011, a two-day seminar organized by LEDinside, comprises insightful speeches given by world-renowned manufacturers Everlight, OSRAM and Philips Lumileds, covering end-market lighting applications; Henkel China will illuminate the led linear high bay light path to higher product quality and yield rate for package material makers and illustrate how to become the supportive backbone of the LED lighting industry. On the other hand, Delta Electronics will share its successful experiences and strategies in the global market and provide Taiwanese LED makers with competitive edges to outshine in the fierce international competition. Miniwiz will demonstrate examples of LED applications in countries around the world from the perspective of green building.
In regard to the trend in the LED industry, the progress of LED replacing traditional lighting is hard to be viewed from a global perspective; currently, North America, Europe and China are the forerunners with respect to the progress. Therefore, analysts of LEDinside will present in-depth dissection of the dynamic between Chinese, European and other international markets.
According to Greenpeace EU energy policy adviser Frauke Thies, “We can’t win the fight against climate change unless we stop wasting energy. Efficient light bulbs are a start that can help cut carbon and cut energy bills for European families. They’ve got rid of the worst, now governments must embrace efficient bulbs while ensuring that they are disposed of correctly. The next step will be to roll out led high bay light efficiency measures on a wider scale, through improved insulation or the promotion of energy saving methods by energy providers. Efficiency remains the easiest and cheapest way to cut carbon emissions.”
