Taiwan vendors cut price on other models

It’s estimated that Taiwan LED-backlit TVs accounted for 8-10% in all over market share. At present, Taiwan vendors wanted to clear out their CCFL-backlit models, in order to launch more LED-backlit models in 2011. And they expected the first-tier vendors to mainly develop 3D models.

In 4Q10, local TV vendors estimated LED-backlit TV market share could reach close to 20% affected from seasonality, and in 2011 the overall market share of LED-backlit TVs would grow up to 25-30% with more promotions for led high bay light models.

Meanwhile, Taiwan LED-backlit monitor market share in 2010 was expected to be around 10%, and to reach 18-20% in the second half of 2010 due to seasonality.Germany LED test and measurement company Instrument Systems revenues for 2010 rose by 47.1% to EUR 10.3 million, compared with EUR 7.0 million in 2009, which was a best result since the company was founded in 1986.
